The list of employee benefits and perks in Bloomfield Township defies logic give the whopping $164M deficit we have. How have elected officials been able to pay themselves handsomely (salary and benefits) while telling taxpayers they have to pay more? They do this by obfuscating information on the Township website and in meetings where the line items for these excesses are masked with other costs.
There has not been any benchmarking of salary and benefit data or an analysis of the right number of employees to do the job. To make matters worse, there are no performance reviews to determine if employees are delivering on the work they are paid to do. Unbelievable!
We need massive change in the leadership, policies and programs in Bloomfield Township.
