The Mission of Better Bloomfield Township (MI)

Better Bloomfield Township is a watchdog forum for accountability, transparency, fiscal discipline, and citizens involvement.  Blind faith in elected officials has proven detrimental.  Our community must have oversight from residents  to improve and to insure that Bloomfield Township remains a great place to live.  We need a way to communicate information that elected officials obscure and fail to make public.

Citizens who care about our community and want to keep it a great place to live and work are the guiding force.  Unfortunately, elected leaders have failed the citizens in responsibly managing the finances.  They doled out indulgent retirement benefits and failed to set aside money to pay for them.  Now we have a large self-inflicted structural deficit.  Residents are not happy with this problem. We are asking questions, sourcing budget cuts and demanding change in the way the community operates.  Join us.
